Owens siblings went in on a gift and got Owen what's called an Ostrich pillow....
Yeah....
Hahaha it was awesome. His mom got him a cast iron skillet (much needed for Owens famous fried up meals of awesomeness) and my parents got him a griddle (yes! Finally Owen can do grilled cheese the "right way" according to him ;) and Nathan and Lyndsey presented his all time favorite..Mountain Dew!!
The dinner was so nice. It was fun to hang out with everyone and have great conversation. Afterward we walked around the City Creek Mall a bit taking pictures.
Getting older doesn't seem to phase Owen. My birthday was quite effecting to me regarding age but it passes over Owen with seemingly no effect. He always keeps his inner child ready to play at any minute and readily seems to accept the evolution of his maturity each year and with each new undertaking life seems to bring. I am proud of him. I have watched him transform from a place of unrest and insecurity to a lifestyle of ambition and strength. He is my stable powerhouse. My inspiration for all things requiring endurance. He lives, more than anyone I've ever met, the saying that life is not a sprint but rather a marathon. He sets in his ways and endures to the end. I love him for all his quirky ways, but most of all, for being my true friend.
Complain about my sappy love talk all you want, but it is rare in this world to find everlasting true love. And I do believe, that this is what we really have :-)
