The number 29

My birthday this year was celebrated in one of the best ways ever. I have a rule, I don't plan my birthday. I plan nearly everything else in our lives throughout the year. I do not plan my own birthday. Owen knows this and for some reason, he has nailed it every year on what to do. This year was no exception. 

I went to work that day ( I know, lame) but oddly, I really wanted to be there. My coworkers have really turned into great friends of mine and I was excited to spend the day with them. So I went and received one of the funniest cards in the world from Mike. Let's just say it included a  snake and an unstoppable mustache fully loaded with a mullet. 

My friends and I went to lunch at Kneaders where I got a Napoleon ( my fave)!!! 

After work, my husband took me on a date. We drove up to Park City. 

Nostalgically we have memories going up there so he booked a reservation at a restaurant we liked up there. There was a slight mix up and we ended up going to the Chimayo. I loved it!! The fireplaces and the whimsical environment were inviting and beautiful. The food was amazing. It's so fun to get out and live it up sometimes for the fun of it all!! 

I enjoy this age. I'm not sure why, other than maybe I realize it's the last year of my life I can say I'm in my twenties. :-) live it up while we can eh?
